Zemia Media is a media producing company based in Valencia, Spain. Our aim is to produce high quality factual media content, and for such we are specialized in documentary programs for television broadcast, home video and internet release.
The genres we deal with are travel documentaries and science documentaries, in particular those that have to do with Earth Sciences such as Geography, Oceanography, Climatology and Geophysics.
In our travel documentaries we aim to expose destinations that traditionally have not received the attention they deserve for various reasons. Our style takes us more often than not off the beaten path of organized and mass tourism to show secret and special places, thanks to interacting with locals, something we always try to do to convey the feeling of discovery that traveling used to be, before the industry took over to turn everything into a standard set of "desirable facilities".
In our science documentaries, on the other hand, the goal is always to explain visually the sometimes difficult concepts that modern science uses, to try to give a complete vision of how our world works and how things relate with one another, in the huge system that is Earth. Because of the spatial dimension of our subject of study, and the long timescales in which geological phenomena take place, we choose to mix real life images with 3D computer generated imagery for our viewers to be able to grasp in a brand new way our blue planet. We are aware that the only possible way to make people aware of the environmental problems that the Earth has to endure is to let them know how the processes that govern the whole system that is about to lose balance, as scientists predict with the human induced global change.
