Purpose

Zemia Media uses for its production process mainly Open Source Software tools. This is due to the fact that this Software is highly configurable, it's possible to look at the code, and also there are no copyright restrictions for it.
The downside of it, on the other hand, it is that the information available in many cases is scarce, difficult to find, or completely non-existent.
That is why we at Zemia think it is a good contribution to the community to post on our website our experiences with these tools, create a reference both for the people that work with us as well as for the casual visitor to our internet pages.

Programs and tools used

Being a company dedicated to video production, our mail tools are CeltX pre-production software, and Cinelerra for video editing. A list of the tools that we use and that we will post information about from our own experiences or links to other sites is the following:

- Cinelerra - Video and audio editing tools.
- Rosegarden - Music creation program that runs under Linux.
- Audacity - For audio editing.
- OpenOffice.org - Free office tools.
- CeltX - Preproduction and screenwriting program. Everything needed for pre-production.
- Other Linux Programs - For all purposes.
- Office 2.0 - To keep sensible information for an enterprise available from anywhere, and working on the cloud.
